10/01/07: City of Stuart is proud to announce a new and innovative program that will make residential and multi-family recycling more convenient.

Welcome to the City of Stuart

Mission: To provide safe and complete vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance that is cost effective and provides employees with reliable vehicles and equipment needed to meet their daily work schedules.

Commercial or Business Recycling - The City of Stuart now offers commercial or business recycling services. Customers are provided with a 95-gallon Recycling Cart or a Cardboard Only Dumpster.

Single-Family Recycling - Effective October 1, 2007, the City of Stuart has implemented a Single Stream Recycling Program. A 65-gallon blue cart is provided to every residential customer in the City.

Multi-Family Recycling - Multi-family customers are provided blue 95-gallon recycling carts placed at their dumpster locations, replacing the green recycling carts. Multi-family customers are encouraged to use our “Sammy Sacks."

Residential Garbage - Residential Garbage is collected once per week. The cost for residential garbage collection is $15.65 per month.

Yard Trash - Residential yard trash shall not exceed 4 feet in height and 4 feet in length or diameter when placed for collection. Yard trash shall be collected once a week.

Bulk Trash - Bulk waste is any item that is too large to fit in your regular garbage cart. This includes items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, chairs, swing sets, and tables.

Commercial Garbage - Commercial garbage can be collected up to six days per week. Container sizes range from 2 to 8 cubic yards. The City offers roll-off and compactor service for customers requiring larger containers.
